Measures approximately 21″ tall x 9″ long x 9″ wide.

Born and raised in south central Pennsylvania, Dan was inspired by carvings made by early wood carvers, such as Schimmel, Mountz and Simmons, who used only a pocketknife to make their wares. This led him to carve using the same method. His goal is to continue with the traditional procedure to show people what can be achieved using only a pocketknife. Dan has been carving since 1968. Some of his earlier carvings are often offered at public auctions, bringing substantially higher prices than what they sold for originally. His work has appeared in many books and national magazines and can also be found in prominent, private collections as well as in the permanent collections of museums.
