Some weaving experience is definitely helpful as this is not a “first” basket.
I am passionate about weaving. Years ago I began making baskets and have never lost interest. Whether I am teaching a student how to weave their first basket or spending the day dyeing materials, I am in my element. Weaving a basket is for me is like going back in time to a period when the basics of living depended on someone with the knowledge and skill to produce what was required or necessary in their daily life. -CarolynCarolyn Kemp is an accomplished basket weaver and artist with multiple instructional books published in basketry.
