In 1858, Sabbathday Lake's Eldress Hester Ann Adams created this soothing and spicy blend of rose buds, lavender, cinnamon and fragrant oils. 2.8 ounces of potpourri is packed in a white linen sachet pouch with Eldress Hester's photograph on it, taken from a cabinet card photograph in our Shaker Library collection, and a note in her handwriting, also from our collection, that says "Affectionately yours, Hester Ann Adams." Place a sachet in your linen drawer for a delightful scent each time you open it. Or place on a side table for a constant air freshener and a memory of Sabbathday Lake Shaker Village.
