  • This authentic Amish Straw Hat is handmade by an Amish woman that has been making and selling hats for years to the Amish community.  It is a close example of what the Shakers wore in the past (their only similarity to the Amish.) Today, the Shakers typically wear beanies and regular hats! Each hat comes with a sweat band on the inside front of the hat and a black ribbon & bow on the outside of hat. The woven straw bands are sewn much closer together than most straw hats, which makes for a very durable and high quality hat.  Made of Milan wheat straw. It is available in multiple sizes. To determine your hat size: Measure the number of inches around your head using a cloth measuring tape and compare it to the conversion chart attached as an additional picture.  Look up the inches and move across to find the hat size.
