Micmac Baskets delivered and on their way to the Shaker Store!

Micmac basketmaker Michael Silliboy from Houlton, Maine made a trip to sell his handmade ash splint baskets to Brother Arnold for the Shaker Store. Members of Mike’s family have sold baskets to the Shakers for more than 30 years!

Aren’t these baskets gorgeous? It’s hard to pick just one so you’ll have to stock up on a few when the Shaker Store and the Shaker Museum open on May 22nd. Michael Silliboy will also be participating in the Maine Native American Summer Market and Demonstration at Shaker Village on Saturday, August 22nd.
