This is the second and much expanded edition of 1907. The book contains a series of letters and essays on the life and faith of Believers. The author was brought up at Sabbathday Lake from infancy. She served in many positions of trust including caretaker for the girls, schoolteacher for over twenty years, Second Eldress, Trustee and frequent lecturer on the Shakers. The text is augmented by thirty-five photographs.
